If I was uninsured in an accident, do I just pay the medical deductable for the person if they were injured?

I was in a car accident on August 20, 2010 in southern California. I was uninsured but paid off the insurance company for damages. On December 27, 2011 I received a letter from a law office saying I was being sued for injuries and that State Farm would be contacting me. I am not sure if i will need to pay just her deductible or the whole cost of the medical treatment.
