Do I have a lawsuit if the airbags did not deploy in my auto accident?

I was driving my SUV and hit a tree head on driver’s front end and side door took full impact. Airbags did not deploy. Broke my left leg in four places and broke right hand in two several other lacerations and pulmonary contusions.

You may have a lawsuit if your airbags did not deploy in your auto accident. You may be able to sue the auto manufacturer, the dealer where you purchased the vehicle, and/or possibly any auto shop that may have worked on your vehicle if they worked near the air bags.

Yes, the manufacturer of the car is responsible, unless you altered the airbag in some way. Sounds like your injuries may not have resulted from the lack of air bag deployment however.

You may have a law suit. It depends if you hit the car in the right spot as well as if the injuries were related to the air bag not being deployed. However, anything you would recover would be diminished by your own negligence.

Based on your representations, it seems that you have a products liability action. Depending on the cause of the accident, there may be a reduction for contributory negligence.

Yes. Issue is whether it was manufacturer's defect or did repair shop or dealer work on it at some point.
