Can I sue the hospital if I was injured during child birth?

I was pregnant and was induced September 22, but I did not have my baby till September 27. Throughout that time, besides being treated very bad from the nursing staff, I started having pain in my left wrist due to the IV that was leaking inside my skin. Shortly after I had my baby, I started to feel numbness in both hands and excruciating pain. I went to my doctor and he diagnosed me with carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis in both hands. I have lost significant amount of strength on both hands and experience numbness often. Can I sue the hospital?

I have never heard of carpel tunnel or arthritis being caused by a short term trauma as you described. To sue the hospital and staff for malpractice, you will need the appropriate health care provider to testify that they acted below the applicable standard of care. I suggest you speak with a medical malpractice attorney.

You may or may not have a good case against the hospital. Medical malpractice cases are very complex and dependent upon the facts. You should contact an attorney who is experienced in medical malpractice cases as soon as possible for advice.
