Can I file a comlpaint against my landlord for personal injury?

I was walking down the stairs leading to the laundry room and slipped on some water on the stairs. Fell and severely sprained my ankle and broke my foot. Can I file a complaint against my landlord for personal injury?

You can. The landlord has a duty to make sure the stairs are free from water.

You may be able to, however this all depends on the landlord knowing about a defective condition. I would have a lot of questions to ask, but you may be able to.
